About This Job

We are Generac, a leading energy technology company committed to powering a smarter world.

Over the 60 plus years of Generac’s history, we’ve been dedicated to energy innovation. From creating the home standby generator market category, to our current evolution into an energy technology solutions company, we continue to push new boundaries.

Generac is revolutionizing the green energy space, making sustainable solutions more accessible and user-friendly. We are transforming our website from a static information hub into a dynamic platform where users can research products, make purchases, and explore innovative features.

About The Role

We are seeking a Mid-Level UX Designer to help shape the future of our digital experience. In this role, you will work closely with our Sr. UX Manager, product managers, developers, and marketing teams to design intuitive, engaging, and high-performing user experiences. You’ll be at the forefront of solving complex business and user needs while ensuring our customers can easily discover, understand, and purchase our green energy solutions.

What You’ll Do

Design user-centered experiences that support product research, e-commerce transactions, and potentially interactive product placement features.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to align business goals with user needs.
Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs to bring ideas to life.
Conduct user research and usability testing (bonus points if you have experience in this area!) to validate design decisions and improve the overall customer experience.
Advocate for accessibility and usability best practices to ensure an inclusive experience.
Work within and contribute to a growing design system that maintains brand consistency across our digital products.
Analyze user behavior and website performance to identify opportunities for optimization.

What We're Looking For

Associate degree or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience in UX design, preferably with experience in e-commerce or product research-driven websites.
Strong interaction and visual design skills with a portfolio that demonstrates problem-solving and UX/UI design thinking.
Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.

Ideal Qualifications:

Familiarity with user testing methodologies and the ability to translate insights into actionable design improvements.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present ideas and influence stakeholders.
A passion for sustainability and an interest in green energy solutions is a plus!

Why Join Us?

Opportunity to shape a growing digital platform and work on cutting-edge user experiences.
Collaborative, forward-thinking team that values UX and innovation.
Impactful work in an industry that is making a real difference in sustainability.
Competitive salary, benefits, and potential for career growth.
