About Houston

ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

What role you will play in our team

We are seeking a highly experienced Market Developer to join our team. As the Global Market Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving the development of new market opportunities for innovative battery anode materials and supporting the commercialization of these advanced materials for lithium-ion batteries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lithium-ion battery technology, materials science and market analysis, and prior experience in the battery value chain. Through customer & external engagements, you will stay abreast of new battery chemistry developments, anticipate future market trends, and translate them to insights that can steer our product development program. You will be a part of the Marketing & Sales team in our growing Carbon Materials business, which aims to supply high-performance products to multiple growing market segments, including but not limited to EV batteries.

What you will do

Job Role Responsibilities:

+ Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, demands, and opportunities in the anode material sector + Analyze competitive landscape and customer needs to inform product development strategies + Scout and analyze alternative technology trends (SSB, Na-Ion etc.), conduct literature research to stay updated with the latest advancements + Lead the development of innovative anode materials, focusing on performance metrics such as energy density, cycle life, fast charging and safety + Collaborate with R&D teams to translate market requirements into technical specifications and product designs + Establish and maintain relationships with customers and industry partners + Work closely with manufacturing and quality assurance teams to ensure product quality and scalability (post plant start-up) About you
