Your Day-to-Day

- Edit and maintain GIS data to accurately reflect fiber optic cable installations as they are completed in the field.

- Work within GIS and database applications that model electric utility distribution systems and fiber optic networks.

- Interpret and apply functional business processes related to utility design, construction, and operations.

- Understand and manage data attributes that support utility and fiber network operations.

- Create and maintain a connected GIS model that accurately represents the electric distribution system.

- Perform and manage Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

- Collaborate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure GIS data reflects real-world conditions.

- Be available for emergency response and planned overtime as needed.

Who You Are

- High School Graduate or Equivalent

- GIS education or certification

- Fiber optics and electric utility experience.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

- Experience with spatial databases and data modeling.

- Ability to interpret construction drawings and as-built documentation.
