GIS Specialist (Full-Time)

Cass County Electric Cooperative is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist to join our IT team at the Fargo headquarters. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with mapping technologies and wants to support mission-critical utility operations.

Position Overview: The GIS Specialist will assist with the development, maintenance, and daily use of the cooperative's GIS systems. This role will also support the implementation and training of GIS solutions across departments and contribute to system integrations that enhance organizational efficiency. Responsibilities include providing spatial analysis, generating custom maps, and delivering accurate GIS data to internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Utilize AutoCAD, ESRI ArcMap, Model Builder, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online to develop and maintain content to create maps and other applications

- Maintain and update GIS data for the cooperative's service area

- Assist with the installation, configuration, and training of GIS applications

- Support integration of GIS with other enterprise solutions

- Provide mapping and spatial data analysis for internal use

- Collaborate with departments to ensure data accuracy and availability

Qualifications:

- Associate's degree in GIS, electrical technology, computer science, or a related field

- Equivalent progressive experience may substitute for some education

- Electric utility experience is a plus

- Strong attention to detail

- Ability to work with data and technology to solve problems

- Accuracy in computation and data entry

- Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal

- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
