We are currently seeking a motivated Geotechnician, Exploration to contribute to our continued success. Participation in Daily MBA Meeting: Attend the daily morning meeting in the Exploration Core Shack for Safety and Planned Daily Work Assignments. Recognize and hazards; execute 'Stop and Correct' processes as needed.

Safety Protocols and Equipment Checks: Conduct daily safety checks on equipment and vehicles before work and ensure compliance with site orientation training and carry the NORCAT identification card.

Job Hazard Analysis and Field Level Risk Assessments: Actively participate in Job Hazard Analysis and Field Level Risk Assessments as instructed by Supervising Geologists.

Drill Core cutting: Cut core samples in half with a wet saw for further examination and obey operating guidelines for all equipment used in this process.

Core sampling: Collect core samples as per our specific sampling protocols as instructed by the Geologists. Maintain the proper security and chain-of-custody rules when collecting the samples.

Drill core Geotech work: If selected for this task, make sure that all advanced instructions are understood. The work will require the core to be restored to it’s drilling orientation and then to make specific Geotechnical measurements on the core. This job will require keeping of very accurate records and may require some input into reports.

Equipment Care: Tend to all equipment used during your work in the core shack including daily maintenance and report any equipment that is not working immediately to the supervising Geologist.

General: When required, complete various jobs to assist in the field to support diamond drilling programs and field geological programs including and not limited to:

Exploration Camp requirements: Accommodation and meals are provided at the Exploration camp, requires a collaborative living and working environment for all team members. It is important that everyone is well-acquainted with and adheres to the Mesomikenda Camp rules, fostering a culture where all co-workers, including support staff feel included and are treated with respect.
