Black Iron Energy is looking for immediate General Oilfield Labourers for some short term and long term projects we have ongoing.
Project locations will be primarily in the Alberta and BC area. Deployment will be from Calgary, AB.
This position plays a role in assisting with on site projects, day to day activities, task-oriented activities and assists the crew with prioritizing the work. This candidate will uphold our Safety standards to the highest degree.
Reporting to the Field Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for or assist with the following duties but not be limited to:
- Attend all safety meetings and abide by Black Iron’s Health and Safety Program
- Communicate all safety concerns with Field Supervisors
- Complete and submit any daily safety requirements; FLHA’S, driver logs, hot work permits, and time tickets
- Select and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for the task at hand
- Provide field support and work as required
- Operate small equipment such as forklifts, man lifts, pumps etc
- A valid Class 5 license with a clean driver abstract is required. Class 3 License will be considered an asset
- Valid H2S, First Aid, CSO, TDG and CSTS, WHMIS, and any other safety tickets as required
- Experience in the Oil and Gas industry in construction or maintenance is considered an asset
- Must be able to operate hand tools, power tools, testing equipment and specialty tools,
- Ability to work in various working conditions ranging from outdoors to indoors in a variety of weather conditions and working from heights as needed
- Adhere to all company environmental, heath, and safety policies and procedures
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Good computer & mobile device skills with ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Windows & applications as required
- Additional industrial education and experience would be an asset such as Fall Protection Awareness, oilfield driving experience etc
- Able to communicate effectively and express thoughts / ideas in a clear and concise manner
- Have great listening skills with the ability to accept and follow direction
- Able to multi-task, assess situations and prioritize tasks accordingly

We offer competitive hourly rates based on experience, per diem while away from home, overtime, and you will be paid for deployment from Calgary, AB.

This work is manual labour, and will be out of town work.
