General Labourer

Unit Electric, located in Okanagan Falls, is looking to hire a positive, reliable Laborer to join our team. Reporting to the Lead Hand, this position is responsible for the assembly of modular buildings, installation of electrical equipment and painting.

Summary of what you will do:

- Clean and prepare work areas

- Operate variety of hand and power tools

- Operate overhead crane and forklifts

- Conduct quality inspections of material and workmanship

- Monitor parts usage and report on any material issues

Qualifications:

- Capable of meeting the physical demands of the position including bending, crouching, kneeling, walking, climbing ladders

- Experience operating hand and power tools

- The aptitude to read and understand work orders, written instructions and blueprints

- Ability to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors, both verbally and in writing.

- Capable of communicating and collaborating with others in a respectful and professional way

- Commitment to quality & safety

- Ability to work overtime and afternoon shift as needed

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.82-$26.40 per hour
