JERA Americas is seeking a dynamic and experienced
General Manager, Enterprise Architecture
to lead the strategic and operational management of enterprise architecture across the organization. This role will be primarily responsible for ensuring seamless integration, enhancement, and support of corporate systems including SAP and other industry solutions. The position will work closely with other areas of the IT group and collaborate with global teams, including counterparts at JERA headquarters in Tokyo, to deliver high-quality services. This role is critical to driving business value through technology and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Position Description
Essential Functions•Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all enterprise architecture solutions within JERA Americas, including SAP and other energy industry systems.
•Establish and maintain architecture frameworks, principles, and governance processes.
•Lead architectural oversight for major IT initiatives and business projects; ensuring consistency, auditability, and risk mitigation.
•Create and maintain the architectural strategy and roadmap for corporate systems.
•Act as a strategic partner and architecture authority for teams supporting:
•Commercial & Risk Systems: Ensure systems support compliance, trading, forecasting, and regulatory needs.
•SAP Platforms: Lead architectural planning and integration for SAP related modules.
•Workplace Applications: Guide design and interoperability of productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., M365, ServiceNow, etc.).
•Integration Services: Drive integration strategies across cloud and on-premises systems using modern middleware, APIs, and event-driven architecture.
•Data & Analytics: Guide enterprise data architecture, data governance, and advanced analytics.
•Cloud & Infrastructure: Architect cloud strategies, infrastructure platforms, and automation initiatives for scalability and resilience.
•IT Operations: Align architecture with operational reliability, ITSM frameworks, and continuous monitoring practices.
•AI & Generative Development: Design and integrate AI/GenAI platforms and tools across business processes to unlock automation, insight generation, and user experience enhancements.

•Collaborate with global enterprise architecture teams, including counterparts at JERA headquarters in Tokyo, to ensure seamless integration and support.
•Oversee system configuration, upgrades, and enhancements across corporate systems ensuring our target operating environment and approved solutions adhere to our architectural strategy.
•Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
+ Identify and drive initiatives that promote agility, efficiency, and innovation.
+ Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies with a focus on value creation and business enablement.
•Contribute to technical solutions, including coding, when necessary, to address identified problems.
•Develop and maintain architectural diagrams and documentation to support enterprise architecture.
Qualifications
Competencies
•Deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies.
•Strong background in corporate systems such as SAP and knowledge of the energy industry, including power generation and/or power & natural gas trading.
•Familiarity with ETRM (Energy Trading & Risk Management) systems is a plus.

Qualifications Continued
Required Education and Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Finance, or related field.
•Minimum 8 years of experience in enterprise architecture environments.
•3+ years of experience with corporate systems such as SAP and knowledge of the energy industry.
•Proven experience managing enterprise architecture projects and vendor relationships.
•Strong understanding of enterprise-wide architecture and business processes.
Preferred Education And Experience
•Experience with ETRM (Energy Trading & Risk Management) systems.
•Experience with SQL or database management.
