Job Description Summary

GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GVH) Field Engineers are leaders in the industry for nuclear reactor inspection, maintenance, tooling and modifications. GVH Outage Services performs maintenance and inspections on commercial nuclear reactors worldwide. The Nuclear Field Engineering Program (FEP) is a training and leadership development program committed to growing GE Vernova Hitachi's entry level, technical talent by accelerating their career through hands-on training in the Outage Services organization.

Engineers in the Field Engineering Program (FEP) work onsite with and for our customers with legacy fleet reactors. You will provide immediate value as part of the outage team, servicing our customers’ reactors safely, effectively, and efficiently, to get them back on-line.

FEP engineers work in a value-adding role while participating in a development program consisting of rotational assignments within outage services that build key technical and leadership competencies. Candidates will receive training from and work alongside industry experts to help improve their skills and knowledge on nuclear power processes and equipment. This program prepares the candidate to become an Outage Service engineer who will operate confidently and provide support for the successful execution of complex projects and activities.

Where you will land in 2 years

After the program, you will have a solid foundation of working in and leading teams during a reactor outage. As an Outage Services Field Engineer, you will apply your technical expertise to strengthen the existing fleet of nuclear reactors. You might be leading teams on the Refuel Floor, Under Vessel or designing/building/implementing tools in our Modification teams or Inspection services group.

Additional Notes: Employees with a permanent address more than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible for a relocation package upon joining GE Vernova.
