We are seeking a Furnace Operator responsible for operating and monitoring induction furnaces used for melting scarp and alloying materials info refined carbon steel. This role ensures proper furnace operation, material handling, and process control to achieve desired metallurgical properties while maintaining safety and production standards.
· Set up, operate, and monitor induction furnaces
· Load and unload parts or materials into the furnace
· Adjust temperature controls, timing, and atmosphere settings according to process specifications.
· Monitor furnace performance, temperature readings, and cycle times to ensure compliance with heat treatment or melting standards.
· Record operational data including times, temperatures, and results for traceability and reporting.
· Conduct routine maintenance checks and report malfunctions or wear on furnace equipment.
· Maintain clean and safe work areas and adhere to all workplace safety protocols.
· Previous Manufacturing experience, preferably in steel industry
· Must be tolerant of cold weather and high heat/humidity working conditions
· Must be able to withstand a minimum height of 15 feet above the ground
