We are currently recruiting a French Speaking Technical Project Manager to oversee the technical and commercial aspects of renewable energy projects in Canada. This role involves ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and identifying new business opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience
•Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Industrial, Civil, Environmental, or related field) or equivalent technical experience.
•Minimum 5 years of experience in renewable energy project development or construction, with expertise in:
- Heavy electrical, collection systems, substations, commissioning, and interconnection
- Permitting processes (AEPA, AUC, and other regulatory entities)
- Interconnection processes with AESO and TFO
- Site inspections, construction mitigation, and project execution for solar/wind projects
- Managing consultants and multidisciplinary project teams across permitting, engineering, and interconnection workstreams
•Commercial contract experience, including long- and short-form contracts, with knowledge of subsidiary civil and mechanical works.
•Experience in transmission lines or grid works is a plus.
•Proficiency in GIS software (QGIS, ArcGIS) and AutoCAD; topography, geotechnical, or hydrology knowledge is valuable.
•Eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship.
•Willingness to travel (25-30%) to support business development activities.
•Fluent in French & English (Spanish & Portuguese are a plus).
•Ability to sign off on environmental documentation (e.g., P.Ag.), if required.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Stakeholder Engagement
•Identify and engage with potential clients, supporting strategic decisions on project opportunities.
•Contribute to greenfield project development and assess acquisition opportunities.
•Support market analysis and economic evaluations of projects.
•Maintain stakeholder relations, including consultation with local communities.
•Serve as the primary contact for landowners and lead negotiations.
Project Development & Execution
•Oversee permitting, community outreach, land acquisition, project design, and engineering.
•Manage interconnection processes and permitting to ensure project compliance.
•Lead third-party contractors, including environmental, permitting, and engineering consultants.
•Ensure projects progress towards construction readiness within budget and schedule.
Project Management & Risk Assessment
•Track project plans, schedules, and budgets while managing resource constraints.
•Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
•Maintain project risk registers and milestone tracking.
Regulatory & Commercial Strategy
•Manage interconnection agreements with utilities and coordinate AESO connection approvals.
•Support power purchase agreement (PPA) negotiations with corporate and utility off-takers.
•Conduct utility tariff, ISO/RTO market, and tax incentive analyses for renewable energy projects.
