Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Operator to support our warehouse and production operations. This role involves safely transporting steel tubes ranging from 8 to 14 feet in length, as well as handling large steel coils. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with warehouse supervisors and team members.
Responsibilities
•Operate a forklift to load, unload, and move steel tubes (8ft to 14ft) and coils within the warehouse and production areas.
•Ensure materials are stacked and stored safely and efficiently.
•Assist with staging materials for production lines.
•Perform daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues.
•Follow all safety protocols and company procedures for handling heavy and oversized materials.
•Communicate with warehouse and production teams to support operational needs.
•Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve efficiency.
•Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies at all times.
•Participate in training sessions for order picking and other warehouse processes as required.
Qualifications
•Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
•Proven experience operating a forklift, preferably with long or oversized materials.
•Ability to safely maneuver in tight spaces and around other equipment or personnel.
•Attention to detail and strong understanding of workplace safety standards.
•Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs and be comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
