SESCO Cement is looking for a Forklift Operator to join our team.
The Forklift Operator is responsible for transferring bulk cement through the stages of operation in the warehouse facility. Experience is mandatory. Must be Certified.
· Minimum of three (3) years Forklift Operation experience in a warehouse
· Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery.
· Employee must be able to work with a rotating shift (day/night) and a flexible or rotating schedule which may require over-time when needed.
· Employee must be able to respond to call outs when required.
· Maintain transfer and production operations in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
· Verifies all loading and unloading of material for assurance.
· Assists Inventory Control for verification of counts and material
· Routes trucks to loading and unloading destinations within the yard
· Complete loading and unloading documentation when required.
· The employee is responsible for the racking of material per instruction.
· Communicating to Supervisor any problems with material, racks, or trucks.
· Assisting at processing inbound and outbound racks when needed.
· Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves
or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
· Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated
· Transfer cement Super Sacks from warehouse to hoppers without tearing the bag or straps. In the event that bag breaks, forklift operator will be required to immediately pick-up the cement from ground and place in supersacks.
· Transfer pallets of finished bagged goods to the shipping area without tearing any of bag goods.
· Must be able to follow all forklift safety regulations including but not limited to wearing your seatbelt at all times.
· Also, in times of necessity, a forklift drive will have the same duties as a General Labor.
· Must be able be clean shaven every day so that respirator have a proper fit on face.
· Must be able to pass fit respirator test.
