About This Job

Summary: The Forklift Operator is responsible for moving bins of finished product from the crusher line. Operating the control panel of the crusher is required until the finished product bin needs to be moved. Additionally, the Operator will be required to move/drop empty oil drums into a pit for the Excavator Operator as well as operate a skid steer.

Essential duties of Position:

•

Safely and efficiently operate excavator and forklift. May be required to operate other pieces of heavy equipment such as: excavator, skid steer, etc.

•

Conduct routine inspections before operating equipment to identify needed maintenance or repairs

•

Performs or requests necessary repairs and adjustments to equipment

•

Perform basic laborer tasks when required

•

Cooperate with managers and laborers to ensure that jobs are completed on time

•

Ensure company equipment is well-maintained, cleaned and stored properly in a safe manner

•

Maintain a safe and clean working environment

•

Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

•

High School diploma/GED or equivalent required

•

Forklift certification is a plus

•

1-3 years of related experience required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed:

•

Ability to sit for long periods of time operating heavy machinery

•

Handle and manipulate objects on a repetitive basis

•

Ability to complete physically demanding work, lifting and carrying heavy objects

•

Exceptional hand-eye-foot coordination

•

Ability to follow standardized work procedures and adhere to safe work practices

•

High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promotes a safe work environment
