Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various heavy equipment and machinery. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience with heavy equipment operation, ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

•

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment including cranes, forklifts, man lifts, cherry pickers.

•

Conduct inspections to identify potential problems before they result in equipment failure.

•

Operate heavy equipment as needed to test repairs and ensure functionality.

•

Assist in the training of junior mechanics on proper maintenance techniques and safety protocols.

•

Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance performed on equipment.

•

Collaborate with management to ensure timely completion of repairs to minimize downtime.

•

Adhere to safety regulations and company policies while working in the shop or on-site.

Requirements

•

Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role.

•

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

•

Familiarity with operating heavy machinery such as clamp trucks, cranes, and forklifts.

•

Experience with order picking and warehouse management systems is a plus.

•

Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.

•

Proficient in using tools such as wrenches, drills, and diagnostic equipment.

•

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.

•

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 48 per week
