Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. This role is crucial for maintaining the flow of operations, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting shipping and receiving activities.

Duties

•

Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials and products safely throughout the warehouse.

•

Load and unload shipments, ensuring accurate placement of products in designated areas.

•

Conduct regular inspections of forklifts and other equipment to ensure they are in safe working condition.

•

Assist with inventory management by accurately tracking stock levels and reporting discrepancies.

•

Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.

•

Follow all safety protocols in accordance with OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

•

Participate in training sessions as needed to enhance skills related to heavy lifting, order picking, and shipping/receiving processes.

Experience

•

Previous experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution center is preferred.

•

Familiarity with various types of material handling equipment, including order pickers and pallet jacks.

•

Strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes, along with basic warehouse operations.

•

Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.

•

Knowledge of OSHA standards related to forklift operation and warehouse safety practices is an advantage.

•

Excellent attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 per week
