Luck Stone is currently accepting applications for Foreman Trainees to start in May 2026. We have a position available at one of our Central region locations which includes the Richmond, VA Metro area.
This position will, through observation, training and hands-on application, learn to perform the following job: Provide general supervision and perform a variety of tasks involved with the extraction, crushing, conveying, inventory and service of aggregate stone products, facilities and associated machinery and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Primary responsibility involves supervision of plant operations. Salary for this job begins at $69,360 but the salary can increase based on the individual's experience and education.
- Learn to supervise and lead production team members to safely accomplish plant goals
- Learn to ensure quality control standards are met and Luck Stone quality programs are followed
- Learn to oversee pit blasting program, including design and loading of shots
- Learn to proactively maintain safe operations and compliance with regulations at all times
- Ensure Luck Stone plant appearance standards are met
- Learn to represent Luck Stone with neighbors, customers, and inspectors
High School or equivalent plus previous relevant mining experience
Bachelors Degree in Mining Engineering or related field preferred.
Ability to work under conditions of frequent exposure to dusty conditions and the full range of weather conditions; frequently in, on, and around quarry high walls and pits; extended periods working from elevated positions or in tunnels.
