Position Overview:
As a Project Foreman, you will be responsible for the on-site management of surface or underground drilling projects, ensuring operations are carried out safely, on time, and within budget. This leadership role requires a deep understanding of drilling operations, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to inspire and manage teams in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities:
•Lead and oversee day-to-day drilling operations for assigned surface or underground projects.
•Ensure compliance with MSHA regulations, company safety protocols, and environmental standards.
•Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and resource allocations to achieve project goals.
•Supervise and coordinate drill crews, equipment operators, and subcontractors to optimize efficiency.
•Conduct regular safety meetings, site inspections, and risk assessments to mitigate hazards.
•Manage and maintain drilling equipment, ensuring functionality and coordinating repairs when necessary.
•Monitor project progress, track key performance metrics, and report to management.
•Address and resolve on-site issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
•Serve as the primary point of contact between on-site teams and project stakeholders.
•Prepare and maintain detailed records of project activities, including production logs, safety reports, and resource usage.
Qualifications:
•Extensive experience in surface or underground drilling.
•Comprehensive knowledge of MSHA regulations and safety best practices for surface and underground operations.
•Proven ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and lead diverse teams.
•Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to dynamic project conditions.
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a collaborative leadership style.
•Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting drilling equipment and technology.
•Valid driver’s license; additional certifications or equipment licenses are a plus.
•Willingness to travel to project sites and work flexible hours, including shifts, as required.
