Finish Rolling Mill Operator
Position Summary:
In this role you will set up and operate precision 2-high, 4-high rolling mills to roll a variety of intermediate, thin gauge metal stock to uniform/precise thickness specifications according to work order requirements. Essential Job Duties:
•Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle.
•Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure the equipment is working properly and adjust as needed.
•Feed raw material and inspect parts with precision and measuring tools such as various hand tools, finish slitter machines, micrometers, calculators, and related tools.
•Change rolls in mill as required and perform any associated preventative maintenance.
•Must follow established company and department rules and regulations and maintain quality standards.
•Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust to priority changes and short notice activity.
•Support a safety culture by following all safety rules including reporting all incidents and near misses.
Minimum Qualifications:
•High school diploma or GED required.
•Previous experience in rolling or machine operation preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
•Excellent mechanical and logical thinking, able to do simple maintenance and repairs.
•Attention to detail, ability to follow written instructions.
•Must be able to read, write and speak English.
•Must follow all safety rules.
•Must be able to pass a background check.
Physical Requirements/Safety:
•Ability to stand and move throughout 8-10 hours shifts.
•Frequent lifting between 10 lbs. and 50 lbs.
•Moderate to loud noise level.
•Follow all PPE requirements.
