Supervisor, Mill Operations

About Your New Role

Reporting to the Superintendent, Mill Operations, the Supervisor, Mill Operations, will be responsible for the mill operating crew; solutions / grinding & crushing operators, and East Lake water treatment operators. You will conduct morning safety meetings and delegate work to the crew and coordinate upcoming work with the Superintendent, Mill Operations.

Your Key Responsibilities

- TMF pipelines, ponds and all outside facilities related to the operation of the mill.

- Complete notifications to ensure the mill equipment is adequately maintained.

- Organize the operating and utility crew to ensure the running areas of the mill are operated safely and efficiently.

- Develop employee competencies to ensure crew flexibility within all operating areas.

- Work closely with other departments to keep the mill running smoothly and minimize down time.

Your Knowledge And Skills

- Good communication skills to understand verbal instructions and to relay maintenance concerns.

- A positive and proactive attitude towards safety is essential.

Your Education And Experience

The successful candidate will have:

- Completed Grade 12 or equivalent.

- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a supervisory role.

- Experience working in a mill processing environment considered an asset.

About Our Working Conditions

This position has a schedule of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off at our remote camp which you will be required to fly in fly out with pick up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert and La Ronge.
