We’re looking for an ambitious Finance Associate to partner with the SVP Finance in building the financial infrastructure for a new business unit within On.Energy
. The role serves as
lead contributor for FP&A and Management Reporting, collaborating with project teams to translate data into action‑oriented insights and develop scalable, data‑driven processes.
Key Responsibilities
- FP&A & Management Reporting
- Coordinate departmental inputs for the annual budget and rolling forecasts.
- Maintain project‑level and consolidated financial forecasts; prepare monthly performance dashboards and concise variance commentary.
- Cash Flow & Treasury
- Build and maintain a rolling 6‑month direct cashflow model.
- Produce forward cash projections to actively manage the cash conversion cycle.
- Financial Modeling & Valuation
- Develop and refine models that support business cases (project underwriting, scenario stress tests).
- Manage and model project‑finance waterfalls and ITC/Tax Equity.
- KPI Dashboards & Analytics
- Design Power BI/Tableau dashboards for core KPIs: cash conversion cycle, variance to budget, and cash projections.
- Surface insights and recommend corrective actions.
- Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify workflow bottlenecks and implement efficient, scalable solutions.
- Document SOPs to enable scale.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure data integrity and timely information flow.
- Ad‑Hoc Projects
- Support system implementations, policy rollouts, and other strategic initiatives as needed.
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (master’s degree considered a value‑add).
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and core accounting principles; able to interpret financial statements and partner effectively with Accounting.
- 2–4 years in corporate/project finance, FP&A, or investment banking.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong financial‑modeling capability; VBA/Python a plus.
- Experience with ERP (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Exceptional analytical rigor, ownership mindset, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Clear, concise communicator; able to simplify complex analyses for non‑finance stakeholders.
- Thrive in a fast‑growing, high‑accountability environment; comfortable building from scratch.
