Our team is growing. Vital Fuel Systems, Inc. is a contractor that specializes in fuel oil systems for mission-critical facilities like data centers and hospitals. We currently perform work for some of the largest end-user technology clients in the world. We want to add high performing people to our team so that we can continue to serve our clients.
What You’ll Do:
•Installing fuel storage tanks and lines.
Mechanical responsibilities* could include setting tanks, running underground/aboveground piping, rigging, anchoring, and supporting the products we provide.
Electrical responsibilities* could include the installation of controls to make the systems work.
•Flexibility in day-to-day tasks as the projects are dynamic.
•Support project timelines from concept to startup.
•A ‘can do’ attitude and a willingness to work as a team to get the job done.
•Work cooperatively with Vital colleagues, customers, and vendors.
What You'll Bring:
•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Minimum of 2 years of construction experience (mechanical contractor, fuel system contractor, electrical contractor, or related field).
•Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
•Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
•Dependable and shows strong attention to details.
•Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to enforce safety protocols on construction sites.
•Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
•Must be able to communicate in English.
•This is a travelling position (25%-100%).
•Candidate must live in central North Carolina or northern Virginia or be willing to relocate.
•Must be able to satisfactorily pass background and drug screens.
•Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Associate’s degree or technical certification in construction-related field preferred.
•Proficiency in each trade category or expertise in one of them (pipe welder, fitter, electrician, fuel systems installer, etc.).
•Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and project plans.
•Strong knowledge of construction materials, testing methods, and quality control procedures.
