Field Technician – High Voltage Equipment Leak Repair
The candidate will perform hands on leak repairs at jobs across the United States while taking pride in delivering quality work. The individual should show characteristics that include: professionalism, self-motivation, adaptation and willingness to learn. This person would work with the following industries: utility, power generation (renewable/non-renewable), and large industrial facilities. Nationwide travel is a requirement.
o Maintain compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act; as well as specific company safety policies, procedures, and protocols.
o Identify and evaluate leaks in high voltage equipment.
o Scanning and measuring leaking components to develop repair solutions.
o Support and perform repair through utilizing the company’s niche and customized approach; applying sealants into enclosure cavities / drill and tapped areas.
o Travel regularly across the United States to various job site locations.
o Able to carry out physical requirements such as: standing, bending, crouching, kneeling, and climbing.
o Have a high level of mechanical ability and experience with multiple types of hand and power tools.
o Conduct regular inspection on tools and equipment to ensure quality control, as well as on-site trouble shooting
o Maintain proper documentation, work logs, and other administrative items.
o Ability to communicate positively and effectively with all personnel involved including: colleagues, clients, and management.
o Support other administrative functions of the company as requested as it relates to job planning, client communications, and development activities.
o Willing to learn under a seasoned qualified field technician with the goal to become a qualified field technician and lead a crew.
o High school diploma or equivalent with Mechanical / Electrical Engineering Technical back ground preferred (apprentices and new graduates accepted).
o Able to meet appropriate security clearance (criminal record check).
o Ability to pass initial drug screening and random drug tests.
o Valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract.
o 2 or more years experience in the High Voltage Utility industry preferred.
o Ability to prioritize and adapt to changes in completing assigned jobs.
o Proficiency in Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and/or other project management, scheduling programs on various devices and platforms.
o Guaranteed 40 hours pay per week regardless if mobilized.
o Hourly wage based on experience with a fair and competitive industry wage.
o Potential cross training and collaboration within other aspects of high voltage repair
