Job Title: Field Technician (Component Replacement & Basic Maintenance)
Ohm is seeking a Field Technician to support Metalmark with equipment component replacement and basic maintenance services. This role is ideal for a technician with general mechanical/electrical aptitude and comfort working with tools, who can assist in replacing faulty components, handle on-site adjustments, and coordinate with internal engineers for guidance. The work will focus on ensuring system reliability and completing hands-on installation tasks in partnership with another team member.
- Assist in the removal and installation of equipment components at customer sites
- Safely handle heavy units and parts with the support of a second technician
- Follow step-by-step guidance from Metalmark engineers for wiring and component connections
- Use basic tools and electrical testing equipment as directed
- Record equipment details and confirm successful installation/replacement
- Provide clear on-site notes and communicate progress to engineers and Ohm project managers in real time
- General comfort with tools, electrical connections, and basic mechanical work
- 1–3 years of hands-on trade or technician experience (HVAC, electrical, facilities, or similar) preferred
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work alongside senior engineers
- Physically able to lift and maneuver heavy equipment with assistance
- Reliable, professional, and safety-oriented
- Estimated Project Pay: $24–$28 per hour
- Pilot project estimated at ~16 hours per technician (2 days of work)
