Summary
Responsible for executing the project scope of survey work while ensuring compliance with all, standards and guidelines required to complete the survey activities in the field. The Field Survey Coordinator will establish the network control survey and verify positional accuracies; coordinate the field personnel; submit Daily and Weekly reports to project management; and conduct daily tailgate safety meetings.
Responsibilities
- Field survey crew scheduling and forecasting
- Provide input on safety plans and ensure work activities are compliant
- Ensure compliance with processes and procedures including data download and QC
- Work with the PMs to prepare, monitor and adjust the project quality plan
- Assist with project scoping and estimating
- Ensure adequate field supplies are available
- Ensure the availability and serviceability of field equipment and vehicles
- Audit field tasks
- Coordinate field training sessions
- Conduct performance reviews for field staff
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in surveying is required
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Party Chief is preferred
- Licensed Land Surveyor/LSIT preferred but not required
- Proven ability to complete all technical aspects of a surveying task is required
- Operational understanding of GPS & survey equipment
- Good social and communication skills required
- Reputation as a trusted and respected member of the surveying community is required
- The selected candidate must be able to pass background and drug tests, and have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
