Fleet Performance Management team support our globally serviced fleet of 25,000 onshore wind turbines. The overall scope of this role is to reduce waste in our SCADA system, build out a process to validate and approve all future analytics and improve site operations. Ideal candidate can work across all functions and systems to build an optimized SCADA system that supports correctly timed reactive activities, and bundling proactive activities. Key metrics of success are noise reduction and improved availability.
- Support of global fleet improving the site tools and operations to streamline daily site management.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of each systems control logic, SCADA logic, future control improvements, and optimize functionality together.
- Build SCADA logic library that is revision controlled and approved. Develop validation requirements for any future analytic deployment.
- Use experience and acquired technical expertise to execute strategy.
- In-depth understanding of key business drivers; use this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- Use judgment and ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters.
- A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in related engineering field.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time
- Ability and willingness to become certified to climb wind turbine
- Wind turbine controls or systems experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Established project management skills.
