Urban’s team offers a wide range of skills and collectively has over 60 years’ experience in the energy sector including oil & natural gas, renewable natural gas, power generation, mining, and renewable energy. Core services include comprehensive mitigation planning, design and installation noise mitigation products, environmental noise modeling, noise level monitoring, and Urban’s NavPlanIQ Software. Our team is highly skilled in providing cost effective solutions, through strategic planning for execution of large-scale operations in urban areas.
Urban is seeking a dynamic Field Specialist to join the team. You will primarily support our field operations for sound wall installation and removal, while also providing backup support to our engineering team with field-related services. The position will include both office and field work, with the majority of time spent in the field supporting day-to-day field operations primarily throughout northern Colorado. Travel will be required and could include both local and out of state locations as Urban continues to expand services throughout the US. The position will ensure high quality job performance and that work is performed to management’s expected operating procedures.
We are looking for a self-starter, collaborative, and creative thinker that will be a significant asset to our growing team. Primary responsibilities will include overseeing and coordinating daily sound wall operations at job sites in northern Colorado, liaising between subcontractors and management while ensuring specified plans, safety protocols and applicable regulations are followed. Daily operations would include coordinating logistics of sound wall installation and removal along with asset management, asset tracking, repair and maintenance. While the primary focus will be supporting Urban’s Sound Wall Operations, the role will also provide backup to our noise monitoring field operations (estimated 25% of time). This will include deploying, retrieving and performing field maintenance on Urban’s sound monitoring fleet and equipment.
Job duties consist of but are not limited to:
· Oversee daily operations and logistics at job sites, liaising between subcontractors and management following specified plans and regulations
· Ensure daily operations on job sites are completed following proper company and customer specific safety protocols, quality standards, and completed on time and within budget
· Responsible for sound wall layout following specified plans and compliance requirements
· Responsible for calling 811 to verify existing utility and infrastructure lines prior to operations commencing
· Responsible for assessing pre-existing sound wall asset damage, recurring sound wall inspections during rental duration and post rental damage inspection and assessment
· Generate field confirmation reports for back office and customers, this will include utilizing Urban’s asset tracking software
· Responsible for ongoing and post weather/wind event inspections and report generation
· Responsible for overseeing proper material handling and field repairs with subcontractors
· Participate in customer and vendor safety meetings, adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures, and ensure compliance with operational procedures
· Contribute to Standard Operating Procedures for sound wall field operations
· Contribute to subcontractor onboarding and Urban subcontractor expectations training
· Majority of time will be spent on job sites throughout Colorado
· Some travel will be required (outside of Colorado) as Urban expands operations throughout US. Out of state travel anticipated to be less and 15% (could fluctuate based on business growth)
· Responsible for subcontractor guidance of storage yard upkeep and inventory storage protocol
· Some computer skills required (internal and customer email correspondence, schedule management, asset management software, data maintenance, field operations back of the house billing support)
· Provide support to Engineering Team for noise monitoring field operations (primarily but not limited to noise monitor deployment, pickup and monitor inspections/maintenance)
· Work well with others in a team orientated environment
High School Diploma (or GED certificate)

Hard worker, self-motivated with ability to learn quickly

Possesses a high level of initiative and can work effectively with minimal supervision

Relevant experience in the oil and gas industry and/or construction
Excellent communicator (written and verbal)

Critical thinking and problem solving is critical for success in this role
Experience with safety protocols

Must be able to occasionally work extended hours, including weekends and holidays as needed and be on an ‘on-call’ for a 24/7 rotation for field operations (Company’s normal field operations take place Monday-Saturday 6:00am-6:00 pm, 24/7 rotation is for emergency situations)

Able to pass a drug test at time of onboarding and continuously while employed

Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs. for a reasonable distance
·
Must be able to work in a variety of outdoor weather conditions

Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record
·
Must be able to work independently to self-dispatch to job sites
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
Telehandler operator certification
·
Experience on site with oil & natural gas or construction projects
· Ability to oversee and prioritize multiple tasks and projects in high paced environment
SafelandUSA Training
Experience with acoustics, noise mitigation products
· Experience with social interface between community and client operations
