Overview:
The Field Operator A is responsible for the daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance of oil and gas wells, particularly those using gas lift systems and compression equipment. This position supports the Foreman and Field Systems Analysts (FSAs) by gathering field data, assisting in troubleshooting production issues, and preparing accurate and timely reports. Strong communication and computer skills are essential to perform effectively in this role.
Responsibilities:
•Operate and monitor gas lift wells and associated compression equipment (both third-party and company-owned).
•Assist in troubleshooting plunger lift operations and optimize production output.
•Accurately collect, record, and report well and equipment data.
•Generate and maintain production reports, tracking sheets, and documentation using Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.
•Communicate regularly with FSAs and Leads to relay field conditions, issues, and proposed solutions.
•Support the Foreman with daily operations, prioritizing safety, efficiency, and compliance with company policies.
•Maintain a high level of safety and environmental awareness in all field activities.
Qualifications:
•5+ years of experience in oil and gas field operations, with exposure to gas lift systems and compression required.
•Plunger lift experience is a strong plus.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for reporting and tracking.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with FSAs and Leads.
•Ability to work independently in remote field environments.
•High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications or vocational training in oilfield operations are a plus.
