Field Service Technician - Industrial Packaging & Strapping (Michigan)

We are actively seeking a hands-on problem-solver to join our team as a Field Service Technician in the greater Michigan area. If you have a proven track record servicing and maintaining packaging equipment of various types, including specialized experience with Polychem, EAM Mosca, or Signode strapping systems, this is an ideal opportunity for you!
In this vital role, you will be our on-site expert, providing essential service, preventative maintenance, and rapid troubleshooting for a diverse range of industrial packaging and strapping machinery. You'll travel to client sites across Michigan, ensuring their production lines operate efficiently with minimal disruption.
What You'll Do:
•Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and emergency repairs on a variety of industrial packaging equipment (e.g., case erectors, sealers, wrappers, conveyors, etc.).
•Specialize in the service and repair of Polychem, EAM Mosca, and/or Signode strapping equipment.
•Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues quickly and accurately.
•Conduct equipment installations, calibrations, and performance optimization.
•Provide thorough training and technical support to client operations and maintenance personnel.
•Maintain meticulous service records and communicate effectively with clients and internal teams regarding job status and solutions.
•Manage your daily schedule and travel efficiently to meet customer needs and service agreements.
What You'll Bring:
•5+ years of hands-on experience servicing and repairing industrial packaging equipment.
•Demonstrated expertise with Polychem, EAM Mosca, or Signode packaging and or strapping equipment is essential.
•Strong mechanical aptitude, electrical troubleshooting skills (up to 480V), and proficiency with pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
•Ability to read and interpret complex schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
•Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
•A high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently in various industrial environments.
•Valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to travel frequently within the greater Michigan area.
•Physical ability to lift, push, and pull equipment, and work in various positions (e.g., kneeling, stooping, climbing).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.40 - $45.00 per hour
