The Field Service Technician will install, replace, and perform routine and preventive maintenance on critical power systems that protect the electrical grid, support telecommunication infrastructures, and keep data center traffic flowing. The Field Service Technician reports to the Service Manager.
Install/replace power electronics equipment/hardware, including wiring and connections.
Perform preventive maintenance and testing on battery and battery charging systems in UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supplies), Utility, and Telecommunication settings.
Adhere to all company and industry safety policies and procedures.
Adhere to applicable customer, industry, and manufacturer's maintenance/installation methods and standards.
Proper operation of basic tools and test equipment.
Supply and organize trucks with all equipment necessary to perform job functions.
Continually train and develop to advance Field Service Technician responsibilities.
Ability to work with a range of tools, from wrenches to multimeters.
Possess troubleshooting skills and be able to effectively operate basic equipment.

Up to 75% based on HMC projects and time of year.
Must have and be able to maintain a current driver's license and acceptable driving record per HM Cragg insurance carrier standard.
Must pass a physical exam, background check and pre-employment drug screening.
Required travel to customer sites out of town for overnight and/or extended periods of time.
Must be able to work flexible hours, days, and overtime, as needed.
Ability to lift items up to 150 lbs. multiple times a day.
Ability to obtain Class C Commercial Driver's License where required by state law.
Must maintain compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) random drug and alcohol screening requirements.
