Summary
Our Field Service Technician travels to customer locations to install, replace, or repair various forms of lubrication equipment including tanks, pumps, reels, and tank monitors. Monitors are also installed and replaced on customer fuel and gasoline tanks. Candidates will be able to successfully manage multiple projects in a wide variety of settings and locations. The Field Service Technician also provides inspections and other general services required in support of our customer base. This position requires a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass our pre-employment testing.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
•Install lubricant tanks, pumps, and associated equipment at customer sites
•Diagnose issues and repair or replace lubrication equipment including pumps and nozzles at customer locations
•Install, repair, and replace tank monitors on lubricant, fuel, and gasoline tanks at customer locations
•Provide contract or warranty repairs or replacement on site when necessary
•Train customers on the operation and maintenance of installed equipment
•Attend regular ongoing education as scheduled by employer or manufacturer of equipment
•Properly complete service visit forms with customers as required
•Manage and properly account for inventory levels in your assigned service vehicle
•Maintain the upkeep of all field operations related spaces as well as the parts and inventory
•Utilize tablet and or laptop to complete set ups and close out work orders
•Perform other duties assigned, including but not limited to, service and training
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
•Must possess general mechanical knowledge including plumbing and general electronics
•Ability to work independently without direct supervision
•Possess a valid driver’s license and hold a clean driving record
•Ability to diagnose issues described by customers via service calls
•Must be detail oriented, and have strong communication skills
Physical Requirements
•Able to lift 50 lbs frequently, up to 100lbs occasionally
•Able to bend, stand, walk, sit, push, pull, climb
•Able to stand on feet for majority of shift
•Able to utilize computer, tablet, smartphone, etc.
Work Environment
This position is exposed to outside elements on a continuous basis and requires being on your feet and ability to drive for long periods at a time.
