About the role
An opportunity has arisen within the Field Service Department for a Field Service Technician. The successful candidate will be based in Houston, TX and will report to the Field Service Manager. The Field Service Technician is responsible for performing routine field service maintenance and on-site repairs of gas turbine engines.

Salary range: $57,773 - $70,601 (dependent on experience)
An overview of your day
•Mobilizes to customer sites (foreign and domestic locations) to provide engine field service functions in a variety of circumstances.
•Performs full service, skid related troubleshooting and repairs to engine packages which are used for power generation and gas compression applications. Performs alignment of various types of driven equipment as it relates to the given package.
•Establishes, administers, and performs field service work relating to Preventative Maintenance (PM) programs, including report generation and the coordination of spare parts provisioning used in the PM programs.
•Maintain a secure work environment in compliance with company safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
•Assemble gas turbine modules, engines, and power turbines - including static and dynamic balance of rotating assemblies.
•Maintains accurate documentation of all work performed on gas turbines.
•Cleans, services, and stows parts, shop equipment, special tools, and normal tools in accordance with company standards.
•Uses manuals, company documentation, and electronic systems to ensure work is completed safely and correctly.
What we need from you
•High School Diploma or GED required.
•More than 1 year of experience in commercial or on the job training commensurate mechanical functions of RWG or similar.
•A demonstrated knowledge of theory and operation of gas turbine engines is a plus.
•Knowledge of Siemens SGT-05 AE (501-K Industrial) and Rolls-Royce 501-K Series Marine Gas Turbine Engines and their internal/external components.
•Working knowledge of Preventative Maintenance programs.
•Proven, successful customer interface in a sales and customer support capacity.
•Basic knowledge of Microsoft suite.
