Job Responsibilities

•

Ensure workplace safety by completing tailored JSAs, maintaining an orderly shop environment, and conducting daily equipment inspections. Perform meaningful safety observations to identify and address potential hazards.

•

Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all tasks, ensuring accountability and operational excellence. Conduct pre- and post-job inspections, document findings, and address non-conformities promptly.

•

Use non-billable hours productively by completing vehicle maintenance, safety training, and cross-training tasks to support operational efficiency.

•

Complete accurate job-related paperwork before leaving the rig or shop and submit daily updates. Maintain an inventory of company tools, ensuring accountability for losses or damages. Take ownership of performance outcomes, striving for excellence in all tasks.

•

Conduct both pre-job and post-job walkthroughs for shop assignments.

•

Ability to read hydraulic and electric schematics for Top Drive systems.

•

Use basic hand tools as well as oscilloscope and multi-meter.

•

Be familiar with Allen-Bradley PLCs, RS Logix 5000 Software, Siemens asset Step 7, PanelView HMIs, and Factory Talk Software.

•

Be familiar with Communications Systems (Ethernet, Modbus, etc.). Be on call according to the rotation schedule.

•

Maintain inventory on rigs and track used expendables.

•

Handle customer billing.

•

De-escalate situations as needed.

•

Drive from rig to rig to check and service equipment.

•

Communicate with company men and tool pushers regarding upcoming work or changes.

Requirements

•

Requires a 2-year technical degree, or equivalent work experience.

•

A minimum of 2 years previous experience in the field or in a related area.

•

Preferred to have Top Drive mechanical, electrical, hydraulic configurations, equipment operations, and be able to effectively troubleshoot Top Drives.

•

Strong communications skills and the desire to be a leader in service.

•

Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

•

Basic familiarity with AC and DC drives.

•

Must be highly organized and could deal with stressful situations as well as downtime.

Physical Requirements

•

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by a 24/7 operation.

•

Physical capability to oversee warehouse operations, including walking, lifting, and operating equipment.
