As we drive this innovation forward, we are actively seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to support our dedicated team. This is a critical role for an individual who is passionate about ensuring high standards, maintaining compliance, and upholding excellence throughout every stage of the installation process.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and verifying the quality of water meter installations and retrofits, conducting field audits to ensure all work meets safety, technical, and customer service standards. You will collaborate closely with installers and team leads to promote continuous improvement and adherence to best practices, while also professionally representing KTI when engaging with field teams and, on occasion, customers.

- Collaborating with project managers, field staff, and back office staff to identify and determine resolutions for any issues or discrepancies in work quality.
- Conduct field inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices. Inspections will be performed on both completed and in progress mater water meter installations.
- Verify proper installation of inside water meters, radio units, and associated components.
- Ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations across all project activities.
- Preparing detailed reports and documentation on inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
- Monitor field performance trends and provide recommendations for training and process enhancements.
- Actively identifying opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance operational efficiency.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management to support operational goals.
- Safety audits on installers
- QA audits on installations
- Any other duties which may be assigned to you from time to time by your manager
- Previous experience in field quality assurance, utility installations, construction, or a related field.
- Knowledge of water meter systems, radio technology, and general installation practices (preferred).
- Strong ability to identify technical issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with field staff and management.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and travel to job sites.
- Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
- Clean criminal background check and driver's abstract.
