The role of the Operations Manager is to maximize construction efforts, and resource efficiency of all things construction-related. The Operations Manager will ensure that day-to-day processes and projects are completed in a timely manner. The Operations Manager will be responsible for identifying and implementing detailed solutions to complex technical problems.
This role will be a key member in the installation process to ensure that crews are following company SOPs, quality standards are met, and will manage multiple crews. They will be working not only with foremen and crews, but with Subcontractors, and corporate leadership and will need to know how to utilize resources to get projects completed. They will work with Corporate leaders to ensure that communication between the field and office is maximized and maintained.
We are looking for an individual who holds a valid Construction Supervisor License (CSL).

Responsibilities:
•Support the execution of residential solar installations across assigned regions, ensuring timely, high-quality, and compliant field operations in line with state standards.
•A proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
•Assist in implementing strategic field-level initiatives developed by Ambia leadership, adapting them to fit regional and local operational needs.
•Help drive performance consistency by supporting the rollout of standardized procedures, tools, and service benchmarks across state teams.
•Maintain and enforce established processes and protocols to promote uniformity in installation practices across markets.
•Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for state field teams, identify trends, and escalate findings and recommended actions to senior leadership.
•Ensure ongoing adherence to safety, compliance, and licensing requirements.
•Participate in workforce planning by providing regional input on staffing needs, assisting with hiring, training coordination, and resource deployment.
•Coordinate with logistics, supply chain, and scheduling departments to streamline field operations and minimize installation delays.
•Support the delivery of an exceptional customer experience by ensuring professionalism and execution excellence in every field interaction.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
•3-5+ years of experience in field operations, with at least 1 year in a leadership capacity, preferably in solar, construction, or energy sectors.
•Proven ability to lead geographically dispersed teams and manage field operations.
•Strong understanding of installation processes, permitting, safety, and quality control in the residential solar or similar industry.
•Excellent leadership, team-building, and communication skills across all organizational levels.
•Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with experience using performance data to drive operational improvements.
•Familiarity with project management tools, CRM platforms, and field tracking software.

Requirements:
•Valid Construction Supervisor License (CSL).
•Strong knowledge of the Massachusetts State Building Code and NEC.
•Prior experience in the residential solar industry is required.
•Possession of OSHA 30 certification is preferred or willingness to obtain it.
•A valid US driver’s license is required. The driver's license must be active for a minimum of 4 years.
•A clean driving record is required (no more than one moving violation in the past year and no more than 2 moving violations in the past 4 years).
•A background check will be performed on all new hires.
•Ability to lift/carry 50+ lbs.
•Ability to operate hand and power tools.
•Familiarity with technology devices, i.e. iOS and Android.
•Communicate effectively over the phone and in person.
•Ability and willingness to travel as needed to support field teams and initiatives.
