Position Overview:
The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the Waukesha facility, daily operations, maintenance, and improvement of the site’s physical infrastructure. This role ensures that the facility is safe, functional, and well-maintained, while also assisting with vendor coordination and compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
•Perform basic repairs and general maintenance tasks (e.g., patching walls, fixing doors, replacing light bulbs).
•Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs.
•Assist with preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment under supervision.
•Support licensed technicians and contractors during repairs and installations.
•Monitor and report issues with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security systems.
•Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools.
•Manage stock of basic maintenance supplies and notify supervisor when restocking is needed.
•Respond promptly to minor facility-related service requests and emergencies.
•Operate forklifts & loading/unloading trucks.
•Help with office moves, furniture assembly, and workspace setup.
•Follow safety procedures and assist in maintaining a safe work environment.
Minimum Requirements:
•High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
•1+ years of experience in facilities management, maintenance, or a related field.
•Knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures.
•Industrial forklift / lift truck operating experience.
•Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
•Proficiency with maintenance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to lift a minimum weight of 40 lbs.
