As a Facility Coordinator, based in our Edmonton operations location, you are responsible for coordinating maintenance activities and managing relationships with vendors and contractors. Your efforts directly contribute to the safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility of our operations, aligning with Quantum’s mission to lead in sustainable electronics recycling and IT asset disposition.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Operations
•Oversee the maintenance of building and mechanical systems to ensure operational effectiveness.
•Coordinate work performed and obtain pricing for repairs required by outside companies on related maintenance items.
•Obtain pricing for parts and supplies, ensuring an adequate supply of required items.
•Ensure the completion of all required documentation, including service stickers, preventative maintenance logs, and work orders, in a timely manner.
•Assist in repairing all equipment, machinery, and building as required.
•Analyze and document all damage to company equipment, supplying a copy to the department manager for corrective action implementation.
•Ensure the availability of spare parts, manage external vendors, and oversee safety protocols.
•Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs and inspections.
Equipment & Operational Efficiency
•Track equipment inventory, optimize performance, and manage capital expenditure for upgrades.
•Provide training on equipment use and ensure compliance with safety standards.
•Develop vendor relationships, stay updated on technological advancements, and utilize data to monitor and improve equipment performance.
•Manage budgets, identify cost-saving initiatives, and optimize resource allocation.
Facility Management & Compliance
•Ensure the facility is well-maintained, compliant with regulations, and supports operational needs.
•Implement safety protocols, manage building services, and lead sustainability initiatives.
•Manage external service providers and maintain emergency response plans.
Cross-Departmental Support
•Act as a reliable backup to supervisors by overseeing daily operations, addressing workflow challenges, and ensuring smooth departmental functioning.
•Proactively identify and resolve issues to maintain productivity and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
•Knowledge of building and maintenance management systems
•Ability to deploy systems and workflows appropriate to the scale of operations
•Some basic knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment
