The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for general maintenance of the CoServ buildings and properties.
- Responsible for maintaining areas around the buildings, including but not limited to, sidewalks, parking lots, roof tops, and all building entrances.
- Responsible for responding to maintenance requests and troubleshooting issues to resolve problems promptly.
- Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
- Provide support for events held at the facility including setting up and breaking down event spaces, ensuring equipment is operational, and addressing immediate maintenance needs during the event.
- Assists in overseeing all contractors doing maintenance or repairs of the buildings and properties.
- Assists in inspections of all CoServ buildings and properties and reports any maintenance issues that arise.
- Assists CoServ employees with tasks as requested, including moving boxes, furniture, etc.
- Ability to occasionally work after hours in response to emergency maintenance issues.
- Complies with established CoServ safety and operating rules, procedures and guidelines including reporting unsafe practices to a supervisor.
- Complies with established CoServ Information Security Handbook, policies, procedures, and guidelines including reporting suspected information security incidents to Tech Support.
- Assists with CoServ’s mail pick up at the post office when necessary.
- Attends CoServ University classes as required.
- Performs other duties and activities as directed.
- 2 to 4 years’ experience in facilities maintenance.
- Ability to communicate well with other departments and contractors.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and in teams.
- Knowledge of general repair and maintenance techniques.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to perform minor maintenance repairs.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, ladders and other maintenance equipment.
- Works both in the office and outdoors.
- Drives company vehicle as needed.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Bends, stretches, pushes, pulls, squats, crawls, and climbs in the normal course of completing job requirements.
- Operates office equipment such as a computer, telephone, copier, etc.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Must have and maintain a valid Texas Driver’s license.
