GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY: As a Fabricator, you will help bring our projects to life. Your job entails taking a conceptual design and turning it into a functioning piece of equipment or equipment component. In addition, you’ll work on customers’ existing processing equipment or new equipment installations. This job will take place both in our warehouse and at customer's locations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
•Use your strong welding abilities to work on advanced projects in a group or individual setting.
•Utilize your growing understanding of processing equipment to refine the details of the processing lines we are creating and installing.
•Fabricate and construct everything from metal components to full processing equipment lines.
•Grinding and finishing completed products.
•Take accurate measurements to ensure proper cuts and bends.
•Quality check completed products.
•Maneuver fabrication machines, such as grinders, drill presses, and flame cutters to cut, bend, grind and adjust materials.
•Adhere to company and state safety regulations.
•Occasionally lead small teams of millwrights and/or other fabricators to complete projects.
•You’ll read and interpret CAD drawings and create a finished product, simplistic to advanced, based upon the drawing.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
•Have a strong welding/fabricating background.
•You’ve worked on processing equipment, some of which is specific to agriculture, and are willing to learn more.
•Ability to take accurate measurements and make cuts consistently and effectively.
•Ability to read and understand CAD drawings, then implement the concept.
•Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks; good-time management, problem-prevention, and problem-solving skills.
•You’ll need to be forklift certified to move equipment from one point to another.
•Your job will take place both indoors and in various outside climates, so you’ll need to be able to perform the job in both types of jobsites.
•Ability to remain flexible, to adapt to changes made by the customer and design work.
•Ability to work accurately with close attention to detail.
•Ability to maintain confidentiality as many projects are under customer nondisclosure Agreements.
•Ability to work with co-workers and members professionally and tactfully.
•Possess a work ethic that includes neatness, punctuality, accuracy, and abiding by workplace rules and safety regulations.
•Exhibit a professional demeanor.
•The ability to climb equipment without the fear of heights.
•Travel is required in this position as there will be a minimum of two weeks in Alaska, Idaho and Washington over the spring and summer. All other jobs will be throughout the valley.
•Weekday work is most typical however weekends may arise as needed.
•You need to have the willingness to work overtime when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Past fabrication experience. Some experience specific to agricultural processing equipment is ideal.
•Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent.
•Successful completion of high school-level mathematics in order to calculate figures and amounts.
•Successful completion of high school-level English grammar to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with co-workers and members.
•Requires the availability to work Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 3:00pm with overtime when needed.
•Must achieve work at a high level of accuracy and ability.
•Punctual to work and meetings.
•Must have a valid Oregon drivers license.
Starting Pay is based upon experience and ranges from $27-$32 per/ hour. We perform bi-annual reviews with raise opportunities for well performing team members to increase their hourly rate quickly.
