As an Exploitation/Development/Reservoir Engineer, you will have the opportunity to be a key player in a dynamic team of professionals focused on maximizing the value of our vast assets in the Western Canada. Working with a multi-disciplinary, geographic area team of production, exploration, land negotiator and other company professionals, you will use your proven reservoir and exploitation engineering experience to provide technical and economic analysis. Working closely with office and field staff, you will be required to drive and support the team by evaluating, recommending and implementing development strategies aligned with the corporation targets.

Key Accountabilities:
•Work within a multi-disciplinary team to identify opportunities to maximize the value of the assets
•Responsible for monitoring and optimization of the reservoir depletion and recovery strategies for the Company’s wells, providing the recommendations and economic evaluation for completions, recompletions, re-drills and new locations
•Accountable for delineating and updating field development plan strategies in conventional and un-conventional play type formations
•Evaluate performance of company and competitor wells to generate Type-wells Curves by play type
•Analyze area competitor activity to benchmark best practices and identifying potential correlation between completion strategies, fluid and rock parameters with EUR. Responsible of addressing any potential situation of competitive drainage and evaluating potential acquisitions and divestitures in your geographic area
•Maintain and update monthly and annual production forecasts wells using various technical and analytical methods, including input into budget and 10-year plan forecasts
•Calculate, maintain and ensure the accuracy and integrity of the corporate reserves
What You Bring to the Role:
•2-15 years of petroleum engineering experience with Bachelor of Engineering
•Registration or eligibility for registration with APEGA
•Proficient at: Reservoir performance evaluations, Economic analysis and valuations, Project management, scheduling, budgeting and reporting
•Software experience: MS Excel, Mosaic, Harmony Reservoir and Forecast, and Accumap
•Familiarity with analytics visualization using Tableau and/or Power BI
