Duties and Responsibilities:
•Read prints, procedures, and processes to ensure parts are produced properly
•Fabricate parts and components using machines such as roll formers, shears, band saws (manual and automatic, drill presses, belt sanders and air tools for deburring and rough grinding).
•Ability to use measuring equipment (tape measure, calibers, protractors) to ensure that parts are made to specifications
•In addition to basic math skills, must be comfortable computing fractions and decimals
•Ensure each job is tracked appropriately, with an eye for completing basic paperwork accurately
•Maintain communication and document problems and takes steps to resolve
•Take questions to supervisor for clarification
•As needed, assist in other production roles throughout the shop
In addition to the core metal fabricating duties above, ideal candidates will have one or more of the following skills or be ready to learn them:
•Press brake set-up, adjustment and operation
•Ability to assemble capital equipment following prints and procedures using mechanical, pneumatic and electrical processes
•Wiring custom equipment per an electrical schematic, including panel building
•Metal finishing-with the use of hand tools and various abrasives, grind and polish stainless steel products to meet a required finish specification
•Maintain and troubleshoot production equipment
•Bead blasting stainless steel parts
