Experienced Derrick Hand

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Derrick Hand to join our team in the oil and gas industry. The Derrick Hand will assist in the operation and maintenance of workover rigs, ensuring efficient and safe operations.

Duties:

- Assist in the assembly, disassembly, and maintenance of rigs

- Operate equipment under the direction of the Driller

- Perform manual labor tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials

- Monitor and maintain proper fluid levels in drilling mud tanks

- Assist in the running of casing and cementing operations

- Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all safety protocols

- Support the overall efficiency of rigging operations

Skills:

- Experience with rigging up and rigging down equipment on an workover rig

- Knowledge of mechanical systems related to drilling operations

- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety procedures on construction sites

- Proficiency in working on a workover rig

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a Derrick Hand or similar role

- Ability to work long hours in physically demanding conditions

- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
