Excavation Foreman

We are seeking a skilled Excavation Foreman to lead excavation crews and manage daily operations related to earthwork and trenching for large-scale civil projects.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
•
Supervise and coordinate excavation crews and heavy equipment.
•
Ensure work meets specifications, safety standards, and schedule goals.
•
Interpret construction drawings and ensure proper excavation depths and layouts.
•
Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and inspectors.
•
Document daily activities, monitor productivity, and report progress.
•
Conduct safety briefings and enforce site safety compliance.
Qualifications:
•
Minimum 5 years of heavy civil excavation experience.
•
At least 2 years of leadership experience as a foreman or supervisor.
•
Strong understanding of excavation methods, OSHA trenching regulations, and utility safety.
•
Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and project specifications.
Requirements:
•
Physical ability to work outdoors in all weather and terrain.
•
Willingness to work long hours, weekends, and nights as needed.
•
Must pass drug/alcohol screening, medical evaluation, and background check.
