About This Job

Metal Fabrication Estimator

The Metal Fabrication Estimator will be responsible for receiving and analyzing the Request for Quotes (RFQ’s) for a customer metal fabrication company.

Duties/Responsibilities:

•

Provide accurate quotations based on customer supplied blueprints.

•

Work with the Leads to get accurate fabrication hours and lead times.

•

Request updated raw material pricing.

•

Request outside operation pricing and determine the best vendor by analyzing the cost differences and lead time.

•

Locate new vendors when needed and establish a working relationship.

•

Ensure RFQ’s are being completed in a timely manner.

•

Comply with all requirements noted by the RFQ requestor.

Skills/Qualifications:

•

Blueprint reading is a must.

•

Knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes.

•

Knowledge of the metal supply industry.

•

Proficient computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office.

•

Must be able to work both independently and within a team.

•

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

•

Excellent communication skills.

•

Strong problem solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

•

Ability to input and organize the data created.

Education/Requirements:

•

Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience

Schedule:

•

8-10 hour shifts

•

Monday-Friday

•

Daytime

Salary:

•

Starting at $22-$28/hour (based on knowledge and experience)
