Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, and repair of various types of heavy equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work with hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Assemble and disassemble heavy equipment components using hand tools and power tools.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic problems and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Operate equipment safely while handling equipment parts and materials.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, work orders, maintenance schedules, and inventory of parts.
- Complete on site repairs as required.
- Maintain shop and equipment cleanliness.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
- Proven experience working as an Equipment Technician or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Experience operating cranes and forklifts safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in mechanical tasks.
- Excellent time management skills, and the capacity to prioritize by assessing situations to determine urgency.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective teamwork.
- A commitment to safety practices in all aspects of work is essential.
