Pico Propane and Fuels in Kenedy, TX is hiring for a Service Installer! The Service Installer will play a crucial role in the installation of customer propane appliances and equipment and is required to hold a CDL. To ensure success as a Service Installer, one should have sound mechanical knowledge, be able work in confined spaces for an extended period, have exceptional communication skills, and a passion for customer service. Ultimately, a top-class Service Installer provides expert installation services and dedicated support to all customers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Travels to customer homes or place of business to perform assigned service work
Assists techs with installing equipment with the use of basic tools to assemble/adjust as needed
Assists with site surveys
Troubleshoots problems with existing equipment
Maintains general maintenance of equipment including service truck and all other service tools used for assigned service task
Completes and submits proper work order documentation
Cleans up after the job is complete
Provides customers with verbal and written operating instructions for new equipment
Completes all other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to follow moderate to complex installation instructions
Willingness to learn necessary skills for position development
Ability to troubleshoot issues and complete repairs while on site
Ability to obtain TX RRC service and installation certification within twelve (12) months of employment (if not already certified)
Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
Customer service oriented
Willingness to work with office staff to close and complete assigned service tasks
Proficient in the current Microsoft Office Suite
Advanced knowledge of equipment installation preferred
General propane (LP) experience and knowledge preferred
Willingness to learn , grow, and uphold a customer focused culture that continually strives to exceed expectations
High school diploma or equivalent
CDL A or B required
Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Physical, Mental, and Behavioral Requirements:
The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by the incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Position requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to heavy weights of 10 to 100 lbs. for approximately 90% of the work shift.
Ability to regularly climb in and out of a commercial motor vehicle, multiple times per work shift
Good hand eye coordination, arm hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp and visual acuity to operate equipment is required, including at night.
Frequent sitting, reaching with hands and arms
Must be able to speak and hear
Position is subject to pre-hire DOT medical certification requirements and drug and/or alcohol testing, as well as a physical abilities test performed by a company provider
Must pass pre-employment screening and background check
Position may require working evening hours and weekends as needed
Work is normally performed outside where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, fumes, airborne particles and gases is common.
