Complete assigned tasks safely and accurately using construction equipment.
Loading and unloading equipment from vehicles used to transport it.
Inspecting equipment before and after use to ensure it’s in good working order, including greasing as required.
Driving or controlling heavy equipment to complete tasks at the construction site.
Monitoring performance and adjusting settings as required to perform tasks correctly.
Tracking scheduled maintenance of equipment and notifying Supervisor if maintenance is past due.
Filling out performance records to report problems with equipment and track where and when it was used.
Cleaning equipment after use and disposing of any collected scraps or waste.
Knowledge of safety protocols and the procedures used to control heavy equipment.
Coordination to use all the controls on pieces of equipment.
Possess enough strength to operate the controls on heavy equipment.
Ability to remain stationary in the seat or operating area of the equipment for prolonged periods.
Strong oral communication skills to interact with other workers on the jobsite.
Basic writing skills to accurately complete reports and other paperwork.
Good non-commercial driver’s license history to indicate a habit of safe driving.
Maintain professional demeanor during interactions with staff, customers and the public.
40-hours paid time off (PTO) per year, earned after the first year of employment with Imperial Electric. 80-hours PTO after 5 years.
