We are looking for an Environmental Soil Sampling Technician to join our team in Midland, Texas. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has strong attention to detail, and values environmental stewardship.

Job Overview

The Soil Sampling Technician performs field sampling, testing, and monitoring of soil conditions related to drilling and remediation projects. This position works closely with contractors and supervisors to ensure environmental compliance and accurate data collection.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform soil sampling and testing for reserve pit remediation and environmental monitoring.

- Prepare, label, and organize samples for laboratory analysis.

- Maintain accurate daily records of field activities and sampling data.

- Operate and maintain field equipment, vehicles, and sampling tools safely.

- Collaborate with contractors on land preparation and remediation work.

- Follow all safety and environmental procedures in compliance with company and industry standards.

- Complete other operational tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

- Experience in the oil & gas industry preferred.

- Knowledge of soil sampling methods, environmental testing, and field operations.

- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word for recordkeeping.

- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, climb stairs, and work in outdoor conditions (heat, cold, uneven terrain).

- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

- Must be willing to work weekends or overtime as needed.

Schedule

- Monday to Friday

- Weekends as needed

- Field-based; travel required
