ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST

JOB FUNCTION:

Provides technical and regulatory expertise in permitting and compliance requirements for designated area of environmental responsibility. Develops and implements environmental compliance training programs for electric utility facilities. Provides environmental technical and regulatory knowledge in support of the planning, permitting, design, construction, and operation of electric utility facilities.

SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST

JOB FUNCTION:

Under direction of higher-level Environmental Scientists responsible for air quality programs, provides regulatory and technical expertise, develops, implements, and manages environmental programs, and provides project management and program management in support of the environmental compliance and permitting programs of Hawaiian Electric, Maui Electric, and Hawaiʻi Electric Light. Develops, implements, and manages environmental compliance training programs for electric utility facilities. Provides environmental technical and regulatory knowledge, expertise, and guidance in the planning, permitting, design, construction, and operation of electric utility facilities.

Hiring Range: The hiring range for the Environmental Scientist [Req ID 9663] position is $87,400 to $111,500. The hiring range for the Senior Environmental Scientist [Req ID 9663] position is $107,700 to $139,800. The person selected will be placed according to his/her skills and qualifications.
