The position of Environmental Professional will be located within commuting distance to the EcoPoint Corporate Office in Rifle, CO. The position is expected to contribute to various types of projects both in the field and in the office that range from utility locating, reclamation vegetation assessments, plant identification, GPS mapping and data collection, operating a drone, and desktop GIS analysis. The ratio of time spent in the field versus the office will vary based on the seasons and weather, with less fieldwork occurring in the winter.

The ideal candidate has the ability to identify common vegetation (including noxious weeds and native species), has a basic understanding of Oil and Gas facilities, and has a working knowledge of GIS and ESRI applications. Field work, sometimes in harsh weather conditions, includes vegetation reclamation surveys and mapping, stormwater inspections, GPS mapping and associated data collection including with a drone, etc.
Successful applicants must have a high level of self-motivation, be able to work independently, have exemplary work ethic, and have a willingness to continue learning new skills and knowledge. Employees are always expected to represent the company in a professional and safe manner while in the field. All field equipment, cell phone, vehicles, and PPE will be provided by EcoPoint.
Travel: The bulk of the work for this position will be on the Western Slope, CO; however, there will be opportunity to travel to various jobsites through the intermountain west.
